Armstrong
Re-joins Mentor
Louis Daniel Armstrong, one of our era’s greatest Jazz trumpeters, rejoins his old mentor Joe Oliver. In 1918 Oliver moved to Chicago, therefore, Armstrong was the one to take his place in The Kid Ory Band, one of the leading jazz groups in New Orleans. Today, four years later, the two men are now getting the chance to play together once again. Armstrong is now taking a role in the King Oliver's Creole Band where he will soon start his first recording session.

PARTY, PARTY,
PARTY
For the past few nights, Jay Gatsby
has been throwing extravagant parties. These are huge affairs that everyone
wants to attend. People want to go so bad; they just show up without even being
invited. There have been elaborate orchestras, drinking, dancing, and huge
crowds. At his parties, juice is made from over 200 oranges that are extracted
every week. No one at the parties knows who Gatsby is due to the huge scale of
his parties.
